Who We Are and What We Do
Ecologywindowx is a Nairobi-based window supply, fabrication, and installation company serving residential and commercial clients across the city and its neighbouring counties.
Founded in 2014 by a team of structural and mechanical engineers who observed how poorly specified glazing was affecting the energy performance of Nairobi's growing building stock, Ecologywindowx was built around one operating principle: measurement before material. In the decade since, we have completed more than 1,200 window and glazing projects — from single bungalow replacements in Karen to full curtain-wall installations on six-storey commercial blocks in Upperhill. Our current team of eighteen includes licensed fabricators, certified installation technicians, and two in-house specification engineers who carry out thermal modelling and code-compliance checks on every project before a single frame is ordered. We work with architects, property developers, facilities managers, and individual homeowners, and we apply the same formal documentation process regardless of project size. Our slate-professional approach — clear drawings, signed-off specifications, handover reports — means clients always know exactly what was installed and why.
How We Work — and Where Our Limits Are

Every Ecologywindowx engagement begins with a paid site survey: a technician visits, takes exact opening measurements, assesses the structural condition of lintels and sills, and records facade orientation for solar-gain modelling. The survey fee is credited against the project invoice if the client proceeds. Specification drawings are produced within three working days of the survey, and fabrication does not begin until the client has signed off on those drawings. We value precision over speed, and we will not accelerate a fabrication timeline at the risk of dimensional error. We serve Nairobi County as our primary territory, with project-minimum-based extensions to Kiambu and Machakos. We do not operate in the Coast or Rift Valley regions, and our warranty is explicitly tied to Ecologywindowx-supervised installation — we do not supply frames for third-party fitting and cannot warrant outcomes in that scenario. Results on energy performance depend on the thermal characteristics of the building's walls and roof in addition to the glazing; we report glazing-specific gains accurately and do not overstate whole-building outcomes. Our community referral programme reflects what we believe: that the most credible endorsement of a glazing contractor comes from a neighbour whose building you can see and touch.
